The pointed brush is one of the most versatile tools in a calligrapher’s toolbox. From elegant flourishes to bold, chunky strokes, the pointed brush gives the scribe a world of creative options.

This workshop will introduce students to this popular style of writing using a brush marker. Brush Lettering with a marker is easy to learn and could just get you hooked on the wonderful art of calligraphy. This workshop will provide step-by-step demonstration to help each student produce beautiful letterforms. Good practice habits, spacing and layout, and other calligraphic possibilities will be presented and explored and by the end of the workshop students will be able to complete a final project of a small piece or envelope. No experience necessary!
